raises funds for Lav Pavičić (2017).

Lav was born on 31 December 2017 in Subotica with only 1kg and 350 grams, prematurely due to complications caused by incompatibility of Rh factors between his mother and him. This was not known during pregnancy. By the 29th week of pregnancy, everything was fine.

Immediately after his birth, Lav  was resuscitated, then intubated and then transferred to the OINT in Novi Sad, which is located at the Institute for the Protection of Children and Youth of Vojvodina. Lav was soon extubated and spent most of the day on cannulas because his lungs had been a big problem since birth. After being transferred to the neonatology department, he experienced tachycardias, sepsis, and infections several times, which he successfully overcame.

In February 2018, Lav's heart  and lungs even stopped. He also fought the H1N1 flu (swine flu) for a week. He was urgently transferred to the intensive care unit. His struggle lasted 25 days.

Lav came out of another fight as the winner, but as a consequence, leukomalacia remained, an injury to the white brain mass. He was diagnosed with spastic cerebral palsy. He was taken off the cannula and finally returned to his home.

From then until today, Lav struggles with infections and has lung weakness. His parents took him to private clinics for treatment, in order to avoid the crowds because one small cold could be fatal for him.

Lav is now 3.5 years old and he is still not able to sit, crawl or stand. He also has difficulty with speaking. All needed treatments  are done in private clinics. So far, his parents have financed all the costs. Now they need our help.

Lav needs funds for specialist and control examinations, for physical, speech therapy, special education treatments, for therapeutic riding, spa treatment, for neurological treatments, stem cell transplantation, as well as for travelling and accommodation costs.

In order to start walking as soon as possible and enjoy the game with his brother, we all need to help him.
