Aleksandra is from Zubin Potok. She lived a normal life. Everything was fine until 2000, when Aleksandra had unusual symptoms (fever and sore throat) where she was treated with antibiotic therapy and then hospitalized in a hospital in Kosovska Mitrovica.

She was referred for a detailed diagnosis to the Institute of Rheumatology in Belgrade due to fever, pain and swelling of the joints, weakness and abdominal pain. Dg. Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (systemic lupus erythematosus is a chronic autoimmune disease that attacks various organs, joints, skin, kidneys, central nervous system). She was prescribed therapy and discharged home.

Aleksandra continued to live with the diagnosis and underwent prescribed therapy. She started a family and in 2005 had a son, Marko. She enjoyed motherhood until 2007 when she became pregnant for the second time. The pregnancy was properly managed by the doctor and everything was fine until the 4th month, when she first felt weakness in her left leg, then her right leg, and then paralysis. Her condition became complicated and Aleksandra spent a year in the hospital. She gave birth on 12 October 2007 in GAK Visegradska in Belgrade. She gave birth to a boy who died two days after. It turned out that Aleksandra was taking medication during pregnancy that was fatal for the baby.

After all the agony and struggle, Alekandra was discharged from the hospital and continued to live with her family. She received another diagnosis: Myelitis (acute inflammation of the spinal cord). Aleksandra also has serious vision problems. Her last hope is to continue her treatment abroad. So far, the family has financed all the costs of the treatment and now they need the help of all humane people.

Aleksandra is a young woman, a mother, who moves with the help of a wheelchair. Let's help her continue her treatment abroad as soon as possible.

She needs funds for treatment abroad, specialist examinations, diagnostics, rehabilitation, for travelling and accommodation costs.
