raises funds for Tanja Đokić (2020).

Tanja was born on 28 September 2020 in Valjevo. She was born in term, by caesarean section.

Immediately after birth, the doctors noticed certain irregularities (smaller head in relation to  the body, position of the eyes and short neck).

At the Children's Clinic, at the Department of Medical Genetics in Belgrade, she was diagnosed with Down syndrome. It is a chromosomal disorder when, instead of two chromosomes 21 (dyssomy) those children have three, which is why it is called (trisomy 21).

Doctors advised Tanja's parents that she should start with speech therapy-defectological stimulations as soon as possible. Since Tanja has a congenital heart defect, it is necessary to regularly check the heart.

One of the many health complications that accompany Down syndrome is weak muscle tone. Tanja is not able to keep her head upright, so she needs occupational therapies and physical exercises to improve her motor skills.

Tanja is a cheerful and smiling girl, who at this moment needs all of us to help her to continue with the therapies she needs to progress.

She needs funds for specialist and control examinations, physical therapy, speech therapy and special education treatments and  travelling costs.
