raises funds for Sergej Milićević (2011).

Sergej was born on 15 May 2011 in Belgrade. The pregnancy was orderly and regularly maintained. His birth made his older brother happy who was looking forward to seeing him at home.

Everything seemed fine until the moment when Sergej's mother noticed the changes in his gaze. He was only 8 months old then. The doctors soon revealed a frightening diagnosis  after detailed analysis. It was a brain tumor!

For the past 10 years, Sergej has been treated at the Acibadem Clinic in Istanbul. After numerous interventions, chemotherapy, radiation, three surgeries, the tumor has recurred so he needs another surgical intervention.

Another shock followed. At the end of July 2021, Sergej went to Istanbul with his parents for an oncological check-up, where they were told that the tank that had been installed in the previous operation was clogged, this tank was used for extraction of the cysts contents to prevent formation of another tumor.

A new operation is urgently needed to replace the tank and empty the cyst and to avoid additional pressure on the surrounding centers and tissue.

After the operation, Sergej must continue his treatment with chemotherapy.

Since waiting for a doctor's examination required a stay in the hospital for several hours, and the situation with Covid-19 was very unfavorable in Turkey as well, unfortunately both Sergej and his parents were infected. Sergej and his mother recovered, but the father died in Istanbul on 20 September 2021, after a several-week stay in the hospital.

The money that the family collected for Sergej's treatment was redirected to the costs of treatment in order to save Sergej's father's life. For that reason,  this way, the mother asks all humane and generous people to help her so that Sergej can continue with the treatment as soon as possible.

He needs the funds for treatment, surgery, specialist and control examinations, rehabilitation, chemotherapy, medication, PCR tests, translation services, travelling and accommodation costs.

We all need to help Sergej to overcome a vicious disease.
