Aleksa was born on 15 October 2016 in Belgrade as a healthy child after a properly maintained and controlled pregnancy. When he was four months old, his parents noticed that something was wrong. They went to the doctor for specialist examinations and diagnostics. They visited a nephrologist, urologist, ophthalmologist and physiatrist and eventually he became a patient of the Special Hospital for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Neurology in Belgrade when he was ten months old. He was diagnosed with G801 Spastic diplegic cerebral palsy.

The magnetic resonance imaging showed that Alexa suffered bleeding in the brain, which damaged the left side of it, with a lot of malacic changes and anomalies.

Fear, ignorance and uncertainty followed . Aleksa and his parents wandered from institution to institution to find help. There had been but not enough progress. Aleksa started walking at the age of three. He is able to say a few words.

He started physical treatments. With great effort and work, he managed to stand on his feet, which was a great progress, but due to the spasm and contracture he has, surgical procedures are needed to stop the progression of the disease, deformation of the spine and joints.

He needs funds for treatment, specialist examinations, surgeries and rehabilitation, orthopaedic aids, exercise equipment at home, medicines, supplements and travelling costs.
