Tijana was born on 26 March 2007 in Belgrade. In the fifth month of pregnancy, a severe developmental delay was detected due to CMV (human cytomegalovirus). She was born with only 1250 grams.

Immediately after birth, she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and microcephaly. At the age of five months, she started physical therapy at the Special Hospital for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Neurology in Sokobanjska in Belgrade.

At the age of two, Tijana had her first epileptic seizure and a diagnosis of epilepsy, for which she was prescribed therapy at the Clinic of Neurology and Psychiatry for Children and Youth in Belgrade.

She was physically advanced, she could crawl, walk on her knees, get up with objects. When she turned 13, her health condition worsened due to a large curvature of the spine.

She was diagnosed with M414 Scoliosis neuromuscularis thoracolumbalis (spinal deformity) at the Banjica Institute of Orthopedics.

Tijana’s scoliosis of 60 degrees puts pressure on the internal organs, so she urgently needs surgery to stop the progression of the disease. She also needs funds for specialist and control examinations, spa rehabilitation, medicines, supplements, vitamins, medical consumables, as well as for travelling and accommodation costs.
