Damjan was born prematurely, weighing only 830 grams, naturally at 24.5 weeks of gestation, and since then his fight for life began. On the second day after birth, he was hospitalized at the Institute of Neonatology. He was intubated as an extremely premature newborn in severe clinical condition, he was on mechanical ventilation for 3 months, and brain ultrasound showed grade IV hemorrhage and brain cyst. He spent four months at the Institute of Neonatology.

At the age of five months, he had his first epileptic seizure and was diagnosed with epilepsy, which further slowed down his psychomotor development. As a result of all the complications at birth, Damjan has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy G800-Paralysis cerebralis st.post praematuritidem and mixed specific developmental disorders F83-Disordines evolutionis specifici mixti.

Regardless of everything he faces, Damjan is a cheerful and smiling boy who shows every day what a strong fighter he is. There is progress for the better, but not enough because he needs continuous treatment, which his parents are unable to provide, so they are asking all humane people to help them as much as they can.

He needs funds for physical therapy, specialist examinations, speech therapy and defectology treatments, laboratory analyses, medicines, as well as for travelling and accommodation costs.
