At the age of 14, on 13 October 2000 after the failure of both kidneys, Lazar was forced to continue his life with the help of dialysis.

In June 2001, Lazar underwent a kidney transplantation at the University Children's Hospital Tiršova by a professional team of doctors from Germany. On that occasion, his mother donated a kidney with which he functioned until 2012, when after 6 months spent in the hospital, the transplanted mother's kidney also failed.

That moment meant going back to dialysis and fighting again. Since then, every other day, Lazar has spent four hours on dialysis for over 10 years. Dialysis, as a process, is used to replace the function of the kidney, due to its dysfunction. Dialysis is the only solution and way for Lazar and the other patients to continue with a partially normal life.

Although it is the only way to continue living, the process of dialysis deprives many aspects of life. People have a hard time accepting the fact that their life depends on the apparatus, which gives them life but limits their life too.

As his mother had already donated a kidney, and his father was diabetic and therefore not an adequate donor, Lazar waited and believed in the possibility of a cadaveric transplantation in Serbia. He has been on the waiting list since the first day, and during that time, even the possibility of a transplantation never appeared, so he decided to look for a chance abroad. He has done preparatory analyzes abroad, the next step is transplantation.

He needs funds for the costs of the transplantation, the costs of medicines and supplements and the costs of travelling and accommodation during the treatment.
