Varvara was born after the first pregnancy ended by cesarean section at 39th week of gestation.

On the 8th day of her life, she was transferred from the maternity ward to the Institute for Mother and Child Health Care "Dr. Vukan Čupić" because of asphyxia, nystagmus and suspicion of perinatal asphyxia.

She was examined and treated at the Institute for a month. Congenital herpes simplex infection was proven, an ultrasound examination of the head and abdomen was performed, as well as a radiographic examination of the chest, and all findings were regular. From a very early age, she has had habilitation in the Special Hospital for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Neurology, as well as hospitalization. After cerebral palsy was diagnosed followed physical therapy and corrective exercises.

Varvara shortly makes social contact, active speech is not developed, and understands some basic, simple commands. Fine motor skills are developing, she has visual impairments. She is able to turn, she does not crawl, movement patterns are in a sitting position. She takes steps when led by the hand. She does not stand or walk independently.

In Varvara's fight, her grandparents, who are also her legal guardians, are her biggest support. In order to enable her further treatment and rehabilitation, they are asking all generous people to help.

Funds are needed for corrective exercises, speech therapy and defectology treatments.
