In 2012, Jelena was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis of the relapsing-remitting type (Dg. G35 Sclerosis multiplex relapse).

The first symptoms of the disease appeared in 2011 in the form of inflammation of the optic nerve. From 2018 to 2020, she was included in an international clinical study in which she got immunomodulatory therapy during which she had one relapse of the disease, and from 2021 she was also included in the extension of the basic study in which she got therapy. In 2022, she was hospitalized in Leskovac General Hospital due to deterioration of her walking.

Jelena moves with the help of aids, and in order to make her movement and life easier, she needs an assistive medical device - a neuromodulation suit that allows relaxation of spastic muscles, and at the same time activation of weak muscles and pain reduction, the use of which is recommended with continuous rehabilitation.

Funds are needed for the purchase of suits and for spa rehabilitation.
