David is the first child born  in term after a regular pregnancy that was complicated by a respiratory infection in the third month.

In 2014, an MR examination of the head revealed a congenital brain malformation (hypoplasia of the corpus callosum). David was diagnosed with mixed developmental disorder (F83 Disordines evolutionis specifici mixti), retardation of development (R62.0 Retardatio), symmetrical paralysis of limbs (G82.2 Paraplegia, non specificata unspecified) acute inflammation of the pharynx (J02.9 Pharyngitis acuta, non specificata) and juvenile idiopathic scoliosis (M41.1 Scoliosis idiopathica juvenilis).

He was monitored for 3 months at the University Children Clinic, he was at the Institute for Speech Pathology, and after that at Clinical Hospital Center Kragujevac, he was hospitalized several times at the Rehabilitation Clinic "Dr. Miroslav Zotović" in order to carry out habilitation treatment due to slowed psychomotor development and deformation of the spinal column and due to the development of neuromuscular scoliosis, he is monitored by the orthopedist from The Institute for Orthopedic Surgery "Banjica"  and wears a brace.

David is a cheerful and sociable child, but he does not speak, has poor motor skills and cannot walk.

Due to the curvature of the spine, his life is endangered every day because scoliosis negatively affects the work of other organs, for that reason he urgently needs a spine operation in a hospital abroad. David's family is unable to pay the treatment costs, so they are asking all humane people to help and donate money.

Funds are needed for spinal surgery and the costs of treatment abroad, spa treatment, physical therapy, speech therapy treatments, medicines and supplements, translation costs of medical documents, travelling and accommodation costs during the treatment.
