raises funds for Maksim Milunović (2021)

Maksim suffers from cerebral palsy (G80.9 Paralysis cerebralis, non specificata) with accompanying diagnoses Q02 Microcephalia and Q04.9 Congenital anomaly of the brain, unspecified (Malformatio cerebri congenita, non specificata). He was born after the first,  properly maintained pregnancy, the birth started naturally, ended by caesarean section, without any complications. In the third month, an increased muscle tone was observed and since then he was included in stimulating treatment. However a significant delay in psychomotor development was observed in the following months. He is being monitored by a neurologist, and the MR findings in February 2022 indicated a reduced volume of the cranium in relation to his age, it was determined that the brain was not sufficiently developed, that there was a reduction in brain mass and an expansion of the cerebral ventricles. The cause of this brain condition is still unknown, so Maksim was sent for genetic tests, which are ongoing.

Maksim does not speak, cannot sit independently, nor can he crawl and walk. So far, he has been treated at the Special Hospital for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Neurology and at Banja Koviljača spa. Until now, his parents have financed the treatment, but since it is necessary to intensify the therapy Maksim needs our help.

Funds are needed for intensive physical therapy, specialist examinations, speech therapy and defectology treatments, spa treatment, treatment abroad, orthopaedic aids, travelling and accommodation costs during the treatment.
