Višnja was born at 39th week, after a regularly controlled pregnancy.

The birth was natural, she did not cry after birth, she was resuscitated, intubated, put on oxygen and mechanical ventilation. Only after she got adrenaline, along with the included antibiotic therapy, she began to breathe spontaneously, but she still did not cry.

For the purpose of further diagnosis and treatment, she was referred to the intensive care neonatology department of Institute for Healthcare of Youth and Children of Vojvodina (IHYCV), where specialist examinations were performed.

Eventually she was diagnosed with - newborn brain disease caused by the lack of oxygen and ischemia (P91.6 Encephalopathy hypoxica ischaemica neonati), heart failure of the newborn (P29.0 Insufficientia cordis neonati), other acute renal failure (N17.8 Insufficient renalis acuta status post), convulsions (P90 Convulsiones neonati), cerebral hemorrhage (Haemorrhage subduralis neonati P100 subacute), blood swelling of the head  due to birth injury (P12.0 Cephalhaematoma neonati traumaticum, per partum), pneumonia (J178 Pneumonia I.dex), Anemia caused by deficiency of iron, unspecified (D50.9 Anaemia sideropenica, non specificata), specific disorder of the development of mobility (F82 Disordo evolutionis functionis motoricae specificus),

Višnja regularly attends physical, kinesis and occupational therapy, as well as speech therapy and defectology treatments. Continuity in these therapies is necessary for its further progression.

Her parents have exhausted their financial resources in the current course of treatment, which is why they need the help of generous people to enable Višnja to continue treatment, progress in psychomotor development and a better future.

Funds are needed for medicines, supplements, physical therapy, speech therapy and defectology treatments, orthopedic aids, as well as travel and accommodation expenses during the treatment.
