In January 2022, Jelena was diagnosed with cervical cancer C53.9 Neoplasma malignum cervicis uteri, non specificatum (Malignant tumor of the cervix, unspecified), after which she was hospitalized in Institute of Oncology for the implementation of radical radiation therapy with chemotherapy potentiation. In April 2023, after diagnostic examinations, cancer was discovered on the right breast with a diagnosis of C50.1 Neoplasma malignum mammae, partis centralis (Malignant tumor of the central part of the breast), after which she received 16 cycles of chemotherapy, and in January 2024, she was admitted to the clinic "Dr. Dragiša Mišović-Dedinje" where she underwent a planned operation - a radical mastectomy and removed 27 lymph glands due to metastases. After the operation, a scanner was performed and bone metastases were detected (spinal vertebrae, sternum, pelvis).

In contact with the oncology center in India, and after a consultation with their doctors, Jelena decided to continue the treatment abroad, for which she needs significant financial resources, so she is appealing to all generous people to help her with donations so that she can continue with the treatment as soon as possible. 

Funds are needed for treatment abroad, specialist examinations, laboratory analyses, medicines, supplements, travel expenses and accommodation costs during the treatment.
