Elena is the second child born after a properly maintained and controlled pregnancy. She was born in the 37th gestation week by emergency cesarean section. During the night, there were complications with breathing when Elena was transferred to the Institute for Maternal and Child Health Care due to pulmonary distress.

Subsequent diagnostics revealed that Elena had a large brain hemorrhage in the perinatal period and that there is a large cyst on the brain as a result of that bleeding. During her stay at the Institute, complications occurred due to rupture of the lung tissue, urinary infection and eye infection.

She was diagnosed with grade V hydronephrosis on both kidneys. Elena was intubated for almost a month, but managed to overcome complications and a poor prognosis. She was also diagnosed with F82 (Disordo evolutions functionis motoricae specificus), P91.0 (Ischaemia cerebri neonati CVI), P94.1 (Hypertonia musculorum neonati congenita) and G83.2 (monoplegia extremitatis superioris).

After determining the diagnosis at birth, she also had a genetic test, where it was determined that she has a microdeletion of the 22nd chromosome. Elena still does not crawl or walk, but she is a happy and cheerful child who can progress very well with constant stimulation of development and physical therapy.

Until now, her family has financed all the expenses, but as the costs of Elena's therapies are increasing, the help of humane people’s donations is necessary.

Funds are needed for BDA treatments, specialist examinations, rehabilitation, physical treatments as well as speech therapy and defectology treatments.
