In 2019, Maja was diagnosed with a cerebellar tumor. She was operated on at NHC UCCS in January of the same year when the posterior cranial fossa tumor was resected, and the PH report showed that it was Medulloblastoma gradius IV (Dg. C71.9 Neoplasma malignum cerebri, non specificatum). After the operation, according to the council's decision, started craniospinal radiation therapy.

The follow-up MRI of the endocranium from July 2021 showed the existence of a local recurrence, and the MRI of the spinal column did not indicate the dissemination of the underlying disease. In September 2023, after resection of the tumor recurrence, PH indicated the same finding: Medulloblastoma, CNS WHO grade IV. The treatment was continued with chemotherapy in five cycles, and considering that the findings of the control MRI of the endocranium and the entire spine were without dissemination of the disease, and in the conditions of poor subjective and hematological tolerance of chemotherapy, in June 2024, the council made a decision to switch to a regimen of regular check-ups.

Three months after the last control examination and completed chemotherapy, the dissemination of the tumor and significant deterioration of motor functions and speech occurred due to the extremely rapid spread of tumor cells in the brain and along the spine, and the tumor is no longer operable.

Taking into account the progression of the disease and the fact that other types of treatment have been exhausted, the council proposed to continue chemotherapy with the use of another group of cytostatics along with biological therapy.

Bearing in mind the above and the circumstances in which the possibilities of treatment here are exhausted, Maja found hope for a cure in a private clinic, where she should continue treatment with chemotherapy.

Funds are needed for specialist examinations and chemotherapy.
