Anja was born at the end of the sixth month of pregnancy; she was twice reanimated and spent two months in the incubator. From the birth she is in delay with motoric development, and when she was two, she was officially diagnosed with cerebral palsy.

In addition to cerebral palsy, this little girl has a congested liver; one kidney has lessened its function, problems with bladder and four cysts on the thyroid gland. She takes 18 different medicines a day...

According to the doctor's prediction, Anja should have been verticalized by now, but this has not happened yet. She can make steps, but she has no stability. She cannot sit without support, cannot use her right hand, but what is most important, she is mentally preserved.

With the help of previous donations, some of Anja's health problems were tackled, but primary diagnosis - cerebral palsy remained. In July, she was operated at a clinic in Istanbul and selective dorsal rhizotomy was performed, to be more precisely, during this operation all nerves in the lumbar part of the spinal column responsible for the transmission of spasm to the feet were determined and cut.

She has been undergoing recovery with Chinese treatment tougher than ever before, because recommended duration is minimum three hours a day. She has some therapies in the daily hospital, she attends school and also private therapy as it is necessary to exercise a lot in the next two years to gain great benefit from the surgery. But that is not all, it is also necessary to undergo another surgery on her legs in the meantime.
