Due to prolonged birth and complications causing lack of oxygen, Danilo was immediately reanimated after the birth. In the first hour of his life, on March 22, 2010, his battle with the spastic form of children's cerebral quadriplegic paralysis began.

Immediately after his birth he was urgently transferred to the University Children Clinic Tiršov because his life was jeopardized. After seven days, the situation stabilized, but the consequences remained visible. After he went out of the hospital struggle for his recovery  began.

In the first months, Danilo immediately began with therapy and rehabilitation with physiatrists, neurologists and psychologists. He also went to the special hospital for cerebral palsy and developmental neurology "Sokobanjska" in Belgrade for three months, twice a year. Later he also had spa treatments with natural elements.

So far, Danilo has had two operations of phased (step-by-step) fibrotomia according to Ulzibat in Ćuprija, performed by Russian surgeons. Danilo cannot walk, cannot sit, speak, and is completely dependent on someone else's help, but he is intellectually preserved. Although he is fully aware of his condition, he is always smiling, cheerful and eager to play and enjoy.His interests are like of his peers.

His progress is a result of huge effort that was put both by his parents, and himself. His younger brother and kindergarten buddies are the biggest incentive for him.

In addition to physical therapies and further fibrotomies that help him with verticalization, Danilo also needs a walker to learn to perform the steps independently.
