raises funds for Sofija Kovačević (2014).

Sofija was born with an emergency caesarean section at the beginning of the ninth month, because at the end of the eighth month she stopped developing. She had 1,850g at birth and pregnancy was regular. Sofija allowed her mother to work and enjoy pregnancy without any pain and complications.

At the first medical examination, when Sofia was only a month old, the physiatrist noticed an elevated muscle tone, and later a delay in functional development. Soon after she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy.

Sofija’s health condition is followed by a team of doctors and therapists at the Special Hospital for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Neurology Sokobanjska.

The doctors are pleased that Sofija is progressing, she can sit, crawl and thanks to her persistence and perseverance she has progressed both mentally and socially.

Sofija has a brother who is four years older, and she tends to be like him in everything. If not exercising she goes to kindergarten, she learns songs and participates in activities with her friends as much as she is able to. She loves to follow and imitates children that surround her, she likes to polish nails, and always has makeup in her little purse.

The biggest issue, for which the family is struggling for is, that Sofija starts walking. They believe that Sofija is strong and motivated enough to increase the chances of effective treatment. Let's give Sofija financial help to continue therapy and rehabilitation and make her first step.
