Tijana was born as the first twin from a regular and controlled pregnancy, which ended two months before the term. Unlike her twin sister, Tijana was not fortunate enough that her premature birth would have no effect on her health. She suffers from cerebral palsy.

Although she is mentally healthy and goes to school, she likes to spend her time with other children  and  to listen to music, Tijana can not walk. In October 2018, in Turkey, Tijana had selective dorsal rhizotomy on the spinal cord, when  spasm was permanently removed  and she was given a chance to stand on her feet and to begin independently to walk.

In order to reach her first independent step, Tijana needs daily, persistent and high-quality physical therapy. According to the doctor  from Turkey, the rehabilitation will last from two to three years. In addition, Tijana  needs two more operations: a hip and strabismus operation. However, a team of Turkish doctors, dealing with the treatment of children suffering from cerebral palsy, recommend that these operations should be performed  at the Acibadem Clinic in Istanbul. During the recovery, she will also need various orthopedic aids and work with speech therapists.

Considering that Tijana is intellectually preserved and aware of her condition, she is aware of the possibility that persistent work can reach her goal, and the goal is to stand on her feet and walk independently.
