Lana has had  problems with her  health since she was nine years old. Her main disease is diabetes mellitus type 1 with developed complications (polyneuropathy, nephropathy, retinopathy, hypertension). She was also diagnosed with: chronic kidney disease of the 5th degree (N18.5 Morbus renalis chronicus, gradus 5), diabetes, insulin-dependent form with other specific complications-arthropathia diabetica, neuropathy diabetica (E10.6 Diabetes mellitus ab insulino dependens, cum complicationibus aliis specificatis), increased blood pressure, of unknown origin (I10 Hypertensio arterialis essentialis (primaria)), anemia with chronic kidney disease (D63.8* Anemia in morbis chronicis aliis, alibi classificatis), demyelinating disease of the CNS, unspecified (G37.9 Morbus demyelinans systematis nervosi centralis, non specificatus), mild depressive episode (F32.0 Episodium depressivum, gradus levis in obs.), blindness in both eyes (H54.0 Amaurosis, binocularis), heavy and frequent uterine bleeding with an irregular cycle ( N92.1 Metrorrhagia et polymenorrhoea cum cyclo irregulari).

Due to terminal kidney disease, she started dialysis treatment in 2019, and in 2022, her mother's kidney was successfully transplanted, but this was not the end of Lana's treatment, as it is a serious chronic condition with an uncertain future that requires lifelong treatment.  She had glaucoma surgery and installation of Ahmed's valves, lens replacement, vitrectomy, LFC and diodes. An eye ischemia was treated, but the blindness is permanent. Continuous follow-up through comprehensive multidisciplinary diagnostics is necessary, as well as life maintaining therapy to enable her the best possible quality of life.

Lana needs funds for laboratory analyses, diagnostics, specialist examinations, medicines and supplements, medical aids, technological aids for the blind, consumable medical supplies, travel expenses for check-ups, as well as for future interventions and operations.
