Since 1999, from the age of 15, she has had diabetes type 1 . She has been struggling for many years and resisting many complications. She used to work 7 years and she was independent.

But now the situation has changed. Many complications such as: neuropathy, renal failure, retinopathy occurred in 2012. Despite regular check-ups with endocrinologists, nephrologists, ophthalmologists and other numerous specialists, Danijela got blind in the left eye. She still has a small percentage of eyesight in her right eye, but she also has in it numerous complications.

Now she urgently needs surgery. Danijela was put on the surgery list and the first intervention is expected to be in October and it should not be avoided. Depending on the course and results of surgery, it will be known if more interventions would be needed in the future. The surgeries are difficult, complicated but they are only chance for Danijela to improve her eyesight in the right eye by 100% and make it permanent and lifelong lasting.

If we raise the necessary funds, Danijela will not be condemned to complete darkness and will be given the chance to improve and preserve the eyesight in her right eye and eventually to be independent again.
