For Dragana!

Description

Humanitarian Foundation BUDI HUMAN - Aleksandar Šapić

raises funds for  Dragana Đurić (1981).

Dragana may possibly have Multiple sclerosis, neuroborreliosis, myasthenia gravis, sarcoidosis and diseases of the systemic connective tissue.

Dragana had a normal life with occasional high temperatures and lowering of her right eyelid, which happened until November 2014 when she gave birth to her second child. After childbirth, temperatures were more frequent and went up to 41 degrees, but doctors claimed it was tiredness, virus and a drop in immunity.

In July 2015, due to severe fever and a temperature of 41 degrees, Dragana was unable to control her right foot. Then she was treated at the neurology department for MS and she had liquor extracted and she also had head MR. She received high-dose of corticosteroids for five days. During the treatment, blisters appeared on the skin, four healthy teeth fell out, and her hair began to fall dramatically. It was said that it had been a contraindicated reaction, that everything would be all right and she was sent  home. When she arrived home, her temperature reached  41.degrees and she was hospitalized urgently at the Infectious Disease Clinic, where she was found to have inflammation of the complete tract with the initial stage of infection and the Borrelia bacterium.

She was treated with high doses of antibiotics for twenty-one days with complete recovery. She continued to work and tested quarterly for Borrelia. Each test was positive and each time she took medication for it.

In August 2017, she experienced  high temperatures again and while she was at work sharp pains began  in the lumbar region with spreading in both legs and  bruises appeared on her legs. In October, she was hospitalized in Infectious Disease clinic where she had a spinal puncture. Nothing was found, Borrelia bacteria was not found in the spinal cord. .

Soon after, she went to a spa treatment after which she started using a cane and because of the high temperature again she interrupted her exercises and went home. She soon became wheelchair-bound due to her inability to walk.

Dragana does not have any type of therapy, currently, most of the day she is in bed with abnormal pain in her spine and legs on which bruising occurs.

The only help from her comes after the opinion of the medical advisory board in Istanbul, so that she can be properly diagnosed and receive therapy and eventually get back on her feet. This requires a large amount of money, which Dragan's family cannot afford.

Dragan's desire is to take care of her children, to take her youngest son to kindergarten, to take care of him and to be the mother and wife she was before this happened to her.

It is necessary for Dragana to have means to travel abroad for diagnostics, for supplements, electric wheelchairs and examinations.

Let's help Dragana to get back on her feet and make up for this lost time!

For Dragana to get back on her feet! Let's be humane!

Let's help Dragana!
