Due to complications at birth, Luka was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, spastic dystonia of the fifth degree, the most severe form. Luka is not able to talk, sit or walk, he is not even intellectually preserved. The damage is multiple, and he is being fed through the stoma.

His struggle for life has started from the third month, with continuous exercises that are still being performed now, and they should be carried out for life. Aids and props for exercises are Luka's everyday life, especially now that he is bigger and heavier, his mother is the only physical help, and Luka’s  only opportunity to see the world with different eyes is when he is in a standing aid, much better than from a wheelchair when that gaze is directed only towards the sky.

During puberty, his condition additionally worsen, when cerebral palsy was followed by spastic dystonia, which prevents him from lying down, resting, and even going to the toilet. Only with heavy sedation does he manage to calm down and sleep for only about 4-5 hours.

After so many years of hard work, Luka's mother is devastated, tired and helpless, but she also knows that they have to move on, that there  is no time for weakness. Thanks to that effort and work, Luka's range of motion was preserved, he did not have a single contracture, his lung volume was preserved and the number of respiratory infections was reduced. In order to maintain the current condition, Luka needs a new verticalizer, special education treatments, physiotherapist services and supplements.
