Lazar is the third child from a properly controlled pregnancy, however, after the birth, he was diagnosed with almost absolute absence of cerebral tissue - the diagnosis of cerebral palsy.

When he was eight months old, Lazar had his first operation at University Children Hospital Tiršova, where he had a shunt implanted - a device for relieving excessive cerebrospinal fluid pressure in the brain. In addition to two more difficult operations at the Clinical Center, every year Lazar stayed with his mother in the special hospital for cerebral palsy and in Banja Koviljača spa for professional exercises, which certainly helped him, but not enough to start walking. Laza occasionally goes to kindergarten with  assistance, and regardless of the difficulties with speech, impaired vision, he is always cheerful, eagerly cooperates and plays with other children.

In order to start walking, in addition to surgery, Lazar needs professional exercises,specialist examinations, rehabilitation, special wheelchairs, orthopedic shoes for a more stable step, glasses, medications, medical supplies, speech therapist and syrups to improve psychomotor abilities. Laza's mother is unemployed, mostly because of his illness, and all of the above causes large expenses.
