raises funds for Vanja Stanković (2015).

 

Vanja is a prematurely born boy. He has a twin sister, and one brother unfortunately did not survive. From the first moment of his life, his struggle began. At the birth, he was reanimated and intubated, then urgently transferred to the Institute of Neonatology in Belgrade, after which he was transferred to the Institute for Mother and Child, where he went on dialysis, which was removed with great effort, but with permanent kidney damage. He left the institute with a diagnosis of chronic renal failure. A month later, he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy.

 

From the first month he has a permanent rehabilitation program. Vanja managed to start walking with a lot of hard work, but only with someone else's help. In April 2019 he had a surgery in Turkey,  where he had a selective fasciotomy and orthopedic intervention of tendon extension, after which his muscle spasm was considerably removed.

 

Due to his growth, his condition is deteriorating and he needs daily physical therapy and rehabilitation. Vanja is a mentally preserved child, he is smart and mature, he is fully aware of his diagnosis. He is smiling, interesting and persistent. His greatest wish is to walk like all other healthy children. In order to achieve that,  he needs funds for specialist examinations, check-ups, rehabilitation, physical treatments, orthopedic aids, laboratory analyzes, medications, supplements and medications. There will also be a kidney transplantation in the future.
