Dušan was born on 16 May 1999 in Kragujevac as a healthy child. When he was eight months old, he experienced febrile convulsions ("febrile seizures") (the most common neurological disorder in early childhood caused by high body temperature), and his health problems have started since then.

When he walked unsteadily and he was speaking with difficulties. While he was growing up, parents noticed a developmental delay (poor coordination of movements for his age). Only at the age of 9, after a detailed examination he was diagnosed with Dg. G608 Neuropathie hereditariae et idiopathicae aliae (hereditary and idiopathic nerve disease).

The neurological disorder causes improper muscle development, lowering of the feet, deformity of the bones, the appearance of involuntary movements, unstable walking, irregular heartbeat, difficulties with speaking, poor reflexes, extremely poor concentration and memory.

Dušan's treatment all these years was reduced to physical therapy and spa treatment, which was not enough. The last hope to stop the progression of the disease is a stem cell transplantation that is only being done abroad.

Dušan needs funds for specialist examinations, stem cell transplantation, rehabilitation, physical treatments, spa treatment, orthopedic aids, medicines and for travelling and accommodation costs.

Unfortunately, Dušan's family is not able to finance his treatment, so they ask all the humane people to help.
